Lancelot Solone is accused of inappropriately touching a 9-year-old girl

Lancelot Solone, 37, of 114 Vryheids Lust, East Coast Demerara, is accused of inappropriately touching a 9-year-old girl. He however denied the allegation when it was read to him.

It is alleged that on Thursday at Regent and King streets, Solone indecently assaulted the child.

The matter will continue on January 17 next year.

In the other case Morris Waddle, a 20-year-old Bartica resident, is accused of indecently assaulting a 14-year-old girl. He denied the allegation. It is alleged that on Tuesday at Bartica he committed the offence.

His lawyer Rexford Jackson told the court that his client lives at 2½ Miles Potaro Road and is a teacher. He said that he has no prior convictions.

Prosecutor Sherwin Matthews objected to bail being granted adding that the offence is serious. He said that the girl lives in the same area and attends the same school where Waddle is a teacher.

The matter will continue on January 23 at the Bartica Magistrate's Court.
