Doctors were today battling to save the life of popular Kitty resident Manu Durant, after he was shot at close range behind the left ear by a lone gunman outside a night club.
According to reports, at around 00:45 hrs today, Durant, 34, of Lot 170 Barr Street Kitty, was standing with friends outside the Wild Berry Night Club between Barr Street and Stanley Place, Kitty, when two men on a motorcycle rode up to him.
One of the men then drew a handgun and shot Durant behind the right ear.
The gunman and his accomplice then escaped on their motorcycle.
Durant was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation’s Emergency Unit. He was still undergoing surgery at around 01:50 hrs today, and hospital sources have listed his condition as critical.
Meanwhile, a driver from Fusion Taxi Service arrived at the GPHC at around 01:00 hrs today with injuries about the body after carjackers beat and stabbed him and escaped with his vehicle.
